the space between...

you come
to me
in between
in between the words
in the spaces
before the period and after the capped first word
weaving your way in and out among verbs of action
wandering through adverbs of love defined love described
you come
to me
in the soft subtle flow of indigo thoughts
showing yourself
unveiling yourself
feeling yourself
feeling me
in indelible ink from your glorious staff
you come
to me
in words
in thoughts
in feelings

you
come

to

me

in

between

the west texas dust storm kinda love...

i want me some

west texas dust storm

kinda love

                    plowing

                    pounding

i want the kind that

rams into me like
a gale force wind

comin’ in
striking me with

all its fury

knocking me out

of my arid reality

penetrating through

the outer layers

past the buffers

in between

                    plunging

                    puncturing

i want the kind that

shows no clemency

movin’ me

in ways inexplicable

entangling my hair

stinging my eyes

stirring my heart

ripping my soul apart

ramming deeper and deeper

grinding down and round

oozing into that deep dark

core of no return

                    penetrating

                    permeating

i want the kind that

drives the gusts

of love unbridled

transporting me from

the lifeless illusion

and hard dry surface of

my existence

suspending me in time

eroding all of what was

depositing what is into

the lush oasis of love

unknown before

                    piercing the heart

                    piercing the flesh

                    merciless

yeah, i want me some

west texas dust storm

kinda love...

                    electrifying

                    death-defying

i feel you there...

i feel you there
you know
when you come
here
even when no words
are left
i can feel you here
it is as if my body ticks
in rhythm to your tocks
ticktock ticktock ticktock

you enter my mind
and your breath
brushes against my heart
and my breathing
breeds a life of its own
my nostrils quiver
as your scent
permeates the page
even when no words
are written
no ink spilled
and even when
you are not here
but there
i feel you
here
in your thoughts
of being here
i feel you here
when you come
here
in your dreams
time measured
in gasps
of the in between
your next time
and i feel you
come
here

again

these thighs of mine...

come lay thee down

upon my soft white breasts

and with thine eyes me caress

then taste my heart and all the rest

come lay thee down

between my thick slow thighs

these thighs of mine that cannot lie

and breathe with me a sigh turned cry

lay thee down...

come lay thee down

between my thick slow thighs

and gaze upon me with thine eyes

come lay thee down

upon my weeping heart

and whisper gently we ne'er shall part

together...

when they were together
no voice need pass between them
their eyes said more spoke louder than mere words
furtive glances
criss-crossed the room like swords brandished
and touches left untouched
bore down upon them with the weight of their own world
their hearts beat in pounding rhythm
tearing apart the deafening silence around them
when
they
were
together

feeling my way...

feeling my way

out of the day

into the night

where you wait in

my shadow dreams

of melted licorice

between the seams
of soft ruby lips

LOVERS EMBRACING IN DEATH

3000 BC/found 02/05/2007

The Stone Age skeletons of a young man and woman were uncovered during digs in Valdaro, an area not far from the central Italian city of Mantua. The man probably died first, say experts, while his companion was sacrificed or chose to die in order to remain with her partner in death. The pair, who have been nicknamed 'the lovers of Valdaro', were buried opposite one another, lying face to face. When archaeologists discovered them, their arm and leg bones were still clearly overlapping, showing they were iaid to rest intertwined. The double burial is drawing widespread attention as it is unique in northern Italy. The only comparable discoveries have been family burials. However, in these, family members are usually laid in parallel lines, with the exception of one woman found clutching her baby. The skeleton on the left, that of the man, had a flint arrowhead at the height of his neck vertebra. The woman's body on the right was found with a long flint blade resting between her thigh and hip bones. Experts believe the weapons may either have been buried with the skeletons as a kind of funeral treasure or, more ominously, may have been the cause of the pair's deaths. They were discovered in an area spanning around 15,000 square metres, which has been under excavation for the last two months. Experts are unearthing the remains of a vast, Roman country villa, complete with baths, pipes and defensive walls with buttresses.

with your eyes

then lay
