the thought of him and

her heart quickened its beat

the thought of him and

her soul dissolved in heat

the thought of him

now her only feat

the thought of him

she was no longer her

she had become

the thought of him

i had thought perhaps the days
passing into weeks,
the weeks into months,
and months into more
would lessen my thoughts
of you -
but that seems an oxymoron -
as if my heart
could beat less....
