unfulfilled love - unrequited love - love relinquished - life unlived...

we all are gypsies of a sort wandering traveling through this life other lives space and time here there and yon on roads less traveled - this is a written and visual journal of my own travels - imagined and/or real - come along with me - we'll dance among the stars under the sun and over the moon - we'll share our stories of love around the campfire - come along -

poetry from the heart...

POETRY FROM THE HEART - my own words dedicated to all the words left unspoken, the acts left undone - the love unlived unfulfilled -

i dance with you...only in dreams...

asked the north wind of the gypsy...

so who are you
gypsywoman

~
i cannot bear the world to see
who i'm not but want to be

i’ve just been playing solitaire
to live in love i do not dare

while i profess to love forever
i’ve loved another really never

i know you know it’s been a while
and i cannot resist your smile
~

so who are you
gypsywoman

My heart felt this one so strongly. I loved everything about it. I even love the question, " who are you" who could ever really answer that one?

Who are you, gypsy woman...
Who are you, maybe une gitane...

It's already cold out there, with a wind hard to bear. In a little while snow will be back. Snow in the fields, snow and ice on the roads.

Winter is long and dark and lingers till April, you don't want to live here...

This is no weather for gypsy women, it's a weather for men hardened by it, men with hearts of stone...

Why did I ever ask that fateful question
But who are you, gypsy woman! Still don't know, never will.

Each year brings back a darker winter. One of those years the winter will kill me and set free all the women I've known.

Beware of winds coming from the North-East, la Gitane. Beware... one of them will bring the news that you're free from icy dreams... at last.

... And a smile with those words, milady. A smile? I would have to remember what that is.

Forever cold,

Roger

... And now you too have comments moderation, that awful thing! You do have, I presume, a rational explanation for that?

Let's have fun... :-)

my dear roger - i dare say that you at least as much as anyone know who i am but i like that you ask at times for some reason unclear to me - there is no mystery - what you see what you read is who i am - there is a cold hard wind here today as well - straight from the north it comes - are you sending it? i cannot bear to think of the winters you have - unless of course, i were in a fully equipped little cabin [that translates to running water and an indoor bathroom] with a large wood burning fireplace and a winter's pile of wood at the door - and a pantry of essentials to last till spring's thaw - several stacks of books - a big overstuffed sofa and chair and piles of rugs on the wood plank floors - and then, i would like to add to this little dreamscape perhaps a jeremiah johnson to keep me company - so, under those "limited" conditions perhaps i could just weather a winter in the north country! ;)

of the darker winter each year, for you, roger - i think you might consider a geographical move to a warmer brighter place - anyone - everyone is impacted upon by dark and dismal weather - there's always florida! i understand that was not a literal statement of yours but more a figurative one but nevertheless, one's mood is so impacted by surroundings, especially weather - something to think about, yes?

well, it's become dark now and my little toes are cold and i've not eaten since early morn so i think i'll go find a warm corner and some warm morsel of food/bread -

thanks so much for your always thoughtful and intriguing comments, sir! have a great remainder of the evening! and be warm!
