unfulfilled love - unrequited love - love relinquished - life unlived...

we all are gypsies of a sort wandering traveling through this life other lives space and time here there and yon on roads less traveled - this is a written and visual journal of my own travels - imagined and/or real - come along with me - we'll dance among the stars under the sun and over the moon - we'll share our stories of love around the campfire - come along -

poetry from the heart...

POETRY FROM THE HEART - my own words dedicated to all the words left unspoken, the acts left undone - the love unlived unfulfilled -

i dance with you...only in dreams...

she thinks of him...

she thinks of him
on days cold as
the arctic winds
his absence now
the frigid echoes
of time gone by

on days hot as the
burning desert
his loss leaving
ripples of crimson
across her broken heart

on days drenched
in dripping tears of the sky
the vacuum of what
was him filled with
liquid vapors

she thinks of him
on nights sparkling
like diamonds cast
upon black velvet
dark reminders of
of their silent love

on nights crisscrossed
with nature’s raging power
keepsakes of their passion
held now in the closed box
of what was

on nights inglorious
nights devoid of light
of movement
of life
of love
of them

she thinks of him

oh, dulce, it's so wonderful to have you drop by while i'm so away from things - i'm just doing a bit of this and that as i can while i'm away - thanks so much for your always kind words which mean so much!

the words here, trish, all too true - and now i am here - where he is - again - test time! ;)

Ah, my dear Cousin....we can run, but we cannot hide, because we carry him with us no matter where we abide! The test is how we go on, how we survive, how we continue to breathe, to move the air in and out of our bodies, knowing that we can never again in this life be THERE, with him. That is the test, do you not agree? It is, for me. But the temptation...ah, the temptation in such close proximity; therein lies yet another, harder test, yes? I KNOW.......

yes, dear cousin - the ultimate test is being here - the thing of honor - it is a cold and difficult bedmate, as you know -

Beautifully written Gypsywoman, so poignant. The sweetest memories can be the most difficult to bear, but would we change them? No, I think not.

GYPSYWOMAN said...

no, we would not, steppenwolf - we would not change them at all - ever - the are now the glue of our broken heart - lovely to see you -

A wonderful expression of the ultimate longing a being can deal with, the loss of a loved one...

and even more emotional being about one's true love!
...well done!

Yo!

oh, urban! thank you so much for your visit - and for your insightful words - in this case, you are so right: the ultimate longing - but a longing rich with having tasted the nectar of the gods for sure! wonderful to have you come by!

peace -
