yesterday
storm's beginning
just to let you all know i've not been away by choice at all - we are in the midst of a huge blizzard with more than 2-1/2 feet of snow out our front door - a lot of people are without power but ours has remained on for which i am so grateful - however, have had no cable or internet or land phones until about an hour ago [since friday] - entire state shut down basically [so unlike roger's canada where all are in a constant state of preparedness for storms of way more magnitude than our little piddly one ;)
- we have managed to clear the drive to the street but the street remains under all the snow as state and private plows all under emergency use for keeping main roads open - no private developments/neighborhoods have been plowed yet and no one knows when they will be - good news is that sun was out all day yesterday and is out today - beautiful - bad news is that another foot or more of snow expected to hit tomorrow into all day wednesday in this area all the way over to dc and into pennsylvania, etc - oh, and other bad news - now running out of basic necessity kinds of supplies -

I think by even Roger's canada storm standards this is a big one! it would be for Minnsesota too - and we are ever ready....
Checking into st bernard service and sending supplies....
good luck! Glad you're safe and snug.
oh, too too funny, deb! well, you know, unfortunately, it is true that when such storms come along so infrequently, it is rare that a state - even an individual - is prepared as needs to be - stock piling supplies is not something that most people do - well outside survivalists and/or canadians!!! ;)
but - we see who is sitting here in the cold and snow - without! ;)
thanks so much deb - for the kind words and thoughts - and st bernard!
no chocolate?? oh no, that just can't happen... i will have some airlifted to you, k?
take care of you, i don't even know if you live with someone or alone or what, do you have neighbors..... you keep this kind of thing secret don't you? hmmm, now just why is that?
ok, well, excepting for the occasional squall here, we are seeing more and more sunshine and that bodes well for everyone east of california, so i will keep sending up smoke signals and pigeons to carry your needs with them on winged feet...ew... ;)
♥
Stay warm and safe doll face, I'm thinking of you.
oh, jimmy, your words warm my heart, truly they do! and i cherish them!
oh, geeezzzeee....i've managed to delete a couple of responses here -
to linda - your presence here is always a ray of brilliant sunshine and i thank you for that! and for the beautiful images over at your place today where it was so wonderful to walk in the rippling green grass and smell the sweet fragrance of the gorgeous little daffodils - thank you! and for all your other little gifts of caring, i thank you, as well! but especially, i thank you for always coming by with such cheer!!!
