i cannot say aloud the words
that fill my heart
yet rip my soul apart
that if I said
would leave us both dissolved instead
i cannot speak
in voices heard my love for you
yet in my silent screams I do
of life within our stolen time
for we both know you are not mine

Whoever it is, he is definitely missing out on a treat.
Sad when this is true. I remember those times... but am glad they have passed... Lovely words, Jenean!
Nevine
always just the right thing you have to say, jimmy! thanks very much, mister!
and dear nevine - they pass? yes, but of course, they do - sooner or later - it's just been later a while now! ;) thank you so much for coming by - i so look forward to your visits and was over your way earlier today to see if anything new at your place - have a wonderful remainder of the evening -
Who is it that you write these words for, they have a depth that reaches inward, digging deeply into the closed compartments of slummbering hearts....
I always wonder too, who these words are for. so touching, so achingly heartfelt. Is it a memory of the past or the present? Love, unrequited. Never allowed into the light of day always to live in the shadows. yes, he is definitely missing out. Silly man.
gemel - .....they have a depth that reaches inward, digging deeply into the closed compartments of slummbering hearts.....
thank you for such kind words - it is true that, for me, anyway, they do go deeply into those compartments of my heart - however, neither closed nor slumbering in my own case - well, actually, perhaps closed - in the sense that there is virtually no room available in the "heart chamber" for anyone else - but never slumbering - maybe easier it sleep could come to the heart, yes?
and deb - no, not love unrequited - that might actually be less painful - but one which is relegated to the ways of these words "unspoken" for a number of reasons - don't know if that makes any sense at all - not even sure myself! ;)
