unfulfilled love - unrequited love - love relinquished - life unlived...

we all are gypsies of a sort wandering traveling through this life other lives space and time here there and yon on roads less traveled - this is a written and visual journal of my own travels - imagined and/or real - come along with me - we'll dance among the stars under the sun and over the moon - we'll share our stories of love around the campfire - come along -

poetry from the heart...

POETRY FROM THE HEART - my own words dedicated to all the words left unspoken, the acts left undone - the love unlived unfulfilled -

i dance with you...only in dreams...

the west texas dust storm kinda love...

i want me some
west texas dust storm
kinda love
                    plowing
                    pounding
i want the kind that
rams into me like
a gale force wind
comin’ in
striking me with
all its fury
knocking me out
of my arid reality
penetrating through
the outer layers
past the buffers
in between
                    plunging
                    puncturing
i want the kind that
shows no clemency
movin’ me
in ways inexplicable
entangling my hair
stinging my eyes
stirring my heart
ripping my soul apart
ramming deeper and deeper
grinding down and round
oozing into that deep dark
core of no return
                    penetrating
                    permeating
i want the kind that
drives the gusts
of love unbridled
transporting me from
the lifeless illusion
and hard dry surface of
my existence
suspending me in time
eroding all of what was
depositing what is into
the lush oasis of love
unknown before
                    piercing the heart
                    piercing the flesh
                    merciless
yeah, i want me some
west texas dust storm
kinda love...
                    electrifying
                    death-defying

Well yahoo, Gypsywoman! That was one lovely piece. Although I'm reading something other than just a dust storm between the lines. Don't know if I'm right or if it's just my twisted imagination. But, I do love this terrain. I don't know if you know but my home of origin is Egypt, and we have dust storms all the time that sweep in from the desert and leave Cairo swooning in their orange swirls, especially in the April/May time frame. And, I live in Texas, so how about that? To say that this is very much up my alley would be an understatement. I enjoyed it completely!

oh, nevine, there's ALWAYS something going on between the lines over here! :)

however, in this case, it was meant quite literally - cause this is the only kind of love i've ever had - ever wanted! i just want it again! and the other day, on one of my posts, something came up about what could we understand of love [was it your comment???] and my response was oh, i don't wanna UNDERSTAND love, i wanna FEEL love - and i used the metaphor of a west texas dust storm in my response - and the instant i wrote it i knew i wanted to do a full piece with that metaphor -

AND i used to live in west texas and will never forget the dust storms - mouths full of grit - sand pricking your skin - oh, god, how i loved it's "rawness" - how it confirmed that you were ALIVE -

sorry, i digress - yes, i had known your origin but am glad you reminded me - and the texas thing - so you know way more than i about dust storms, having experienced the ancient ones, so to speak!

so glad you liked - always love hearing from you! have a wonderful remainder of the day, lady!
