unfulfilled love - unrequited love - love relinquished - life unlived...

we all are gypsies of a sort wandering traveling through this life other lives space and time here there and yon on roads less traveled - this is a written and visual journal of my own travels - imagined and/or real - come along with me - we'll dance among the stars under the sun and over the moon - we'll share our stories of love around the campfire - come along -

poetry from the heart...

POETRY FROM THE HEART - my own words dedicated to all the words left unspoken, the acts left undone - the love unlived unfulfilled -

i dance with you...only in dreams...

tweet me, but tweet me gently, please!

is it her - or -

is it her name
you cry in
the silent screams
of your lifeless dreams

her scent
that gives you flight
on crimson wings in the night

is it her laughter

that fills the bottomless hole
dug deep within your poor lost soul

her flesh
that burns now your own
through layered shreds of crystal bone

is it her soul
that cradles you gently in the bleak black blue
left behind by anguised adieu

her spirit
that holds in love the charred remains
of life’s last embers within your veins

is it
is it hers

or
is

it

Is this the question we often wonder over and ask ourselves? Or rather, are these the questions? We so often undermine our happiness by wondering such things and modeling our behaviors around what we think are the answers. Strange how fragile we are!

Jenean, your words are so very beautiful, though they cut deep because they face us with our weakness. Still, sometimes it is in seeing our weakness and confronting it that we find true beauty. Lovely!

All your words are always beautiful and express the honesty of the feelings we sometimes try to ignore or keep hidden. But they are there and it always takes great strength to put them out there, admit to our very most personal thoughts.
I always love to see what you write next - you are so prolific!

I stumbled into your blog and it is a great read.

This work fits the blog name very well in the way it reads.

Again, I go inward and explore the depths of my heart after reading your post.....

If I had a heart...

... if I had a heart, I would understand your cry and your longing.

But I do not! Moreover I'm a man, and as a man I'm selfish and do not even care about the answers in my case... would you believe that? No you tell me?

You may be right, but I'm still a man, and I'm still selfish, and I do not care... as long as nobody touches to my woman!

And I almost write "my women"... because after all I'm a man!

Do not mind what I'm writing this evening, sweet Jenean. This is after all just another day.

0HA HA HA HA HA HA HA... ha ha ha... ha ha ha...

I can't help it. So the Eastern US has a teeny tiny bit of snow and everything is stopped dead cold...

ha ha ha...

I heard that there was a rush on stores in order to buy chips, coke and all that... is it true? OK don't answer...

Yes you're right, snow is white, at least that's the colour it should be, the colour it always has been in the Cold Countries Where It's A Way Of Life...

Don't be afraid, snow is not cold...
The cold is in the hearts
Has nothing to do with snow and ice
The cold is in the bones...

Don't fret it will melt away... That's the main difference, you see? The cold weather disappears, the snow melts, the ice at times sublimes and disappears in the thin air...

But frozen bones remain cold during the summer

Then I know that life gave me a raw deal right from the start

dear nevine - your words are just so "right one" - absolutely so! and how often is it that we DO undermine our own happiness by wondering such and modeling our behavior around our [distorted] perceptions! the undermining i know so well - far too too well! and for way way too long!

i am always so moved by your comments, nevine - truly i am - and so very grateful for them - and for your wonderful inspiration!

GYPSYWOMAN said...

dear deb - simply cannot tell you how much your comments mean to me - always so inspiring - and i am so grateful for you and for them - but you know, sharing out thoughts and feelings is just natural i think - i really cannot claim strength for putting it all out there - but i thank you much for the thought! my having been snowed in for days has not brought much creativity as the house has been buzzing with activity and distractions - but soon - soon, i'll be back [sigh...]

hello tom - well, thanks so much for stopping by and reading a bit - please feel free to drop by again - have a great day -

oh, gemel - thank you for such wonderful comments from the heart - i'm so glad to have you come by always!

dear man with no heart - do not worry, you are forgiven - at the gypsy campfires, there is mercy to be had for a man with no heart and an inner chill, especially one from the cold -

and yes, it is true - the delawareans do not know how to deal with the big blizzards such as you have every day there in the land of the cold - and even more sadly, the reports of chips and coke [and/or beer] you have heard are probably true for the natives!!! however, for my own necessity basket, i personally wish only a little chocolate, a bit of fruit, some fresh bread with gooey butter - and some italian [Sacré bleu, not french?!!!] and yes, french, wine -

i admit - i have much to learn of the ways of the cold - and i'll be doing just that from a sunny beach somewhere! soon, i hope! ;)

but think of Dostoyevski and Tolstoï - how their magnificence touches so many, still!

and thank you for your kind words of my own little things!!!

Hey Jenean! We're heading towards Western Florida Saturday early morning. I was planning to get a derogation in order to install my summer tires (snow tires are mandatory here, I mean it's the law, you MUST have them or the fuzz will kindly get your car off the road and charge you a bit of money for the fun of it)... So I was planning to get a derogation in order to install my summer tires and get out of Québec without getting a ticket, but I think that I will keep them on!

This is a car equipped for winter, I will flash the guys and get the left lane for myself you know... the more snow there is, the funnier it gets!

In your necessity basket, WHAT ABOUT FRENCH WINE AND CHAMPAGNE? WHAT ABOUT FRENCH CHEESE? WHAT ABOUT... :-)))

PS: I found my heart, 'twas under the printer... Omigod I'm really losing touch I think.

Let's share a laugh!

GYPSYWOMAN said...

OH, THE CHEESES - how could i have forgotten those!!! please bring an assortment when you come south - your choices will be great! you see what winterwhite does to a redredmind that i left from my basket of necessities deliciously divine french cheeses - well, your trip is just in the nick of time!!!

and i ask everyday here why snow tires are not required in such instances - but....

glad tidings of great joy about your heart having been rescued from under the printer! my life is complete now! ;)

now, off to my warm little room for the evening, with a little bowl of hot pasta, fruit for later and a bottle of seltzer water! yum -
