unfulfilled love - unrequited love - love relinquished - life unlived...

we all are gypsies of a sort wandering traveling through this life other lives space and time here there and yon on roads less traveled - this is a written and visual journal of my own travels - imagined and/or real - come along with me - we'll dance among the stars under the sun and over the moon - we'll share our stories of love around the campfire - come along -

poetry from the heart...

POETRY FROM THE HEART - my own words dedicated to all the words left unspoken, the acts left undone - the love unlived unfulfilled -

i dance with you...only in dreams...

the prints of your heart...

they’re there
just can’t be seen
but that don’t mean
they’re not there
invisible snares
wanderin' windin' their way

where they’re gonna stay

layin' latent ‘cross the
slippery surface

threshold scorin' identified
their ridges unique

to the exclusion of all others
carry the mark of no one else

their friction amplifyin'
vibratin' my soul

signalin' the shadows
of my lost past

they’re there
seems they’ve always been
right there under my skin
makin’ their way within
no beginnin' and no end
born in passion and in sin

plastic or patent
no difference to repent
the burden mine
for now and all time

oh, yeah, they’re there
layin’ our love bare

the fingerprints
of your heart

on mine

a little fun ditty: about an hour after i posted this, my little 4 yr old grandson came in with a new book from the library - he came running up to me and said "look at my new book: FINGERPRINT DRAWING BOOK" - neat, huh!!!

The firgerprints of your heart
On mine

Those few words bear such tenderness...
How can they fit with passion and sin?

I seem to remember, from the deep past, that you once wrote me "there is no sin in love", or words to that effect. Or am I mistaken, as I so often am?

Time's slipping by, time's going away
Through my clenched fist
Death is void of love
Death is emptiness

But why would I be afraid? We in Québec share a laugh with the Lady in black every day.

Where's this hard drive, pray tell me?

dear roger, i am so sorry to only now be finding your comment here which now makes my response so long over due - this poem really speaks to the indelible print left upon one's heart when that one love comes along - and refers to the way in which some love relationships might be viewed by the world outside - how difficult it is to keep such a love to one's self without others knowing of it because it is so passionate so overwhelming - and then, the impact upon the lovers if discovered -

and you are not mistaken in this instance, nor do i know of others in which you are, dear roger - i did say and will always say that there is no sin in love - and of the word sin, what is it? ah, but that is another poem for another time, right?

do not let your fist clench, instead, won't you open it and receive all the good that is sent your way - from this heart -
