my heart is my own prison
i guard me there
hold myself captive there
i guard me there
hold myself captive there
bound there in chains of love
from its walls i cannot escape
nor shall i ever try
one corner of my heart
is my own garden
filled with lush brilliant flowers
their scent nectar to my soul
their colors my only lightfrom its walls i cannot escape
nor shall i ever try
one corner of my heart
is my own garden
filled with lush brilliant flowers
their scent nectar to my soul
their soft petals my only bed
my memories of you
my heart's own prison

Impressive. Am not familiar with this artist, but will be soon! You have wonderful artists on this blog, Gypsy. An education unto itself.
oh, thanks so much dear trish! you know, de limpicka was quite a woman - way ahead of her times - and maybe even the times of today! :) a great personal/professional story - intriguing to say the least - anyway, do check her out - i love her work -

oh, dear rose, it's quite the place, isn't it! there, in the midst of all those unspokens! surrounded and gently held -
I can relate to this post SO much, especially after the last two weeks!
My heart holds the essence of me, perhaps this is why what I crave the most is never found, except with my cats!
Gypsy babe, it's lovely yet so sad and tormenting oh and that visual is very sensual..."My memories of you, my heart's own prison" Now believe it or not we all have been in here and a great song that comes in mind reading this is "My own prison by Creed" great song listen to it sometime.
